Take a Guaranteed Ticket to Success Today!

Time is on it's way. It's a very hot July here. Someone I know who started their own home business in January is already earning big bucks. My kids ask me all the time, "MOM, will there be no vacation this year?". One of our relatives has already been on vacation two times in June, which led to my kids' prodding of their question.

Really, I deeply heart the voice of my daughter saying, "MOM, no trip this year?". Many people are inspired by something to change their social status, some from relatives, neighbors or friends. Today it was my children. Today, I started a business for the first time at the age of 36.

Running a home business poses many challenges. If I am sick, I will be unable to work and will not make money. However, I am proud that I am starting my own home business. It is my own. Working from home, how can you make a business profitable for you, your family, friends and relatives? Following are the points that you should consider if you want to that ticket to success.  These are points I considered as I started.

  • Prepare for a life of business : Prepare your mind by researching and learning about your new business. Find out the necessary things that you will need. For example, find out how much it will cost to advertise. Get all your communication tools up to date - i.e internet, computer, cellphone, fax, answering machine etc.
  • Make your plan: Write up a plan of action in the form of a business plan. Adjust it daily/weekly/monthly, taking into consideration any changes in your practices. Analyze competitors, analyze people who are earning better than you. Look for their key weapon. Use your competition to your advantgage
  • Estimate your goals: Once your setup process is completed, estimate your short term and long term goals. If you are unable to meet your targets, modify them and try again.
  • Equation of success: preparation + plan = goal

"A well set up business with a solid business plan will achieve the estimated goals."

Once the above things have been completed, put your business into operational mode. This is "your business". NO BOSS. You are the boss, you are CEO. There is no one watch your work. You will be achieving your dreams.

Now you change dream to reality.

5 very important points to running your business:

  1. Work every day on getting your business started - don't say "I will do it tomorrow".
  2. Set up your budget and review it each month.
  3. Read and study about related business in magazines, newsletters, books etc.
  4. Discussion boards, articles and paid advertisements are great ways to get exposure for your business.
  5. Finally, use all possible resources online and offline.

Have a wonderful business - that's your ticket for success- God Bless You
